Our Superior, Heavy Roofing Underlayment will Increase the Lifespan of Your New Roof

Roofing Underlayment Done Right
The Done Right Roofing System starts with a heavy eaves protector that serves as a moisture barrier and prevents your roof surface from rotting. We then apply a quality roofing underlayment to the balance of your roof surface to waterproof your roof in case the shingles are penetrated by severe weather or ice dams.
Roofing Underlayment Basics
Underlayment serves as secondary-level protection against leaks. It also prevents the oils in asphalt shingles from leaching into the roof deck.
Although it is not required by the Alberta Building Code, except for eave protection, we recommend a form of roofing underlayment for all roofs with a slope of 7/12 or less. The absence of underlayment may void your shingle warranty.
The type and weight of roofing underlayment required will depend on the slope of your roof as well as your personal preference. Even a basic 15-pound underlayment will provide many years of protection if all other elements of a good roofing system are in place.
